At TSC Sp. z o.o., environmental protection is treated as one of the Company’s top priorities. In response to the expectations of our Customers, Suppliers, Employees, and the local communities where we operate, we consciously and purposefully implement solutions that create value for our stakeholders. These initiatives aim to promote the rational use of natural resources and environmental assets. In the course of our operations, we place particular emphasis on sustainable development. With the goal of minimising our environmental impact, we are committed to conducting our business in compliance with all applicable environmental laws and standards. We strive to operate in a manner that accounts for our environmental footprint, through measures such as optimising the use of consumables and implementing best practices.

Our Values

Economic, social, and environmental factors are essential to the way we operate. We care for the natural environment and strive to maintain responsible relationships with our surroundings. We are committed to the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

TSC places strong emphasis on environmentally responsible wastepaper management. Our goal is to achieve a closed-loop lifecycle for wastepaper through a continuous sequence of:

  • production,
  • usage,
  • recycling.

Through recycling, we give ‘new’ life to wastepaper recovered from the market. Our implemented recycling processes allow for the recovery of up to 60% of wastepaper, which returns to the market as a new, eco-friendly product used in various sectors of the economy (e.g. production of paper, cores etc.).

At TSC, we are actively engaged in environmental education. Every year, we partner with educational campaigns for children, youth, and adults. Our goal is to promote positive everyday habits such as waste segregation, conserving natural resources, and using biodegradable products.

Through our closed-loop waste paper management and environmental education efforts, we positively impact the environment we live in.

Environmental Protection

We place great importance on the quality of our products and processes while continuously striving to reduce our negative impact on the natural environment. We are constantly searching for the most suitable products and services, with particular attention to the ecological and social dimensions of our activities.

TSC’s Actions to Minimise Negative Environmental Impact

TSC’s operations are conducted in accordance with applicable environmental laws and regulations. We operate based on a permit for the collection and transport of non-hazardous waste. Since 2015, our company has been subject to regular external audits and inspections conducted by the Province Marshal’s Office, the results of which confirm the reliability of our environmental documentation.

1. Paper Department

The Department strives to ensure that the materials used in the production of paper products are, whenever possible, environmentally friendly and fully recyclable after use.

2. Chemicals Department

The chemical agents offered by TSC’s Chemicals Department meet the highest quality standards and the requirements of both the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union. Many of these products hold certifications such as ISEGA, Blue Angel, Eco Label, and Nordic Swan, and comply with FDA and BfR standards. All products are accompanied by safety data sheets in accordance with REACH regulations and are labelled in compliance with the CLP Regulation. The production of the chemical agents we offer is carried out in accordance with ISO standards.

3. Recycling Department

The primary material handled by our Recycling Department is wastepaper. Through the processing of used paper and paperboard, we obtain raw material for the production of many different new paper products.

At our wastepaper collection and transport site in Brodnica, we continuously monitor and maintain machinery and equipment. This allows us to eliminate the risk of environmental incidents. Our partner Recovery Organisation also conducts environmental audits at the sorting facility, verifying documentation and service protocols of the equipment related to environmental usage.

Everyday Ecology

At TSC, we are mindful each day of the importance of ecological efforts and minimising our environmental impact. For this reason, we have implemented the following practices in our offices:

  1. Waste segregation and recycling – We provide clearly marked bins for various types of municipal waste (paper, plastic, glass, mixed waste) as well as hazardous waste (batteries). All of our employees actively participate in waste segregation, fully aware of the importance of recycling and its impact on reducing the need for new packaging made from primary raw materials.
  2. Reducing the use of plastic packaging – With the use of the POU water dispenser, we strive to reduce the number of plastic bottles in circulation. This system provides clean drinking water – hot, cold, and sparkling – directly at the office.
  3. Paper conservation – As a leader in the paper industry in Poland, we understand the importance of using this resource responsibly. Our employees contribute to paper reduction through small but meaningful actions, such as double-sided printing, using electronic document storage systems, printing only when absolutely necessary, and reusing single-sided printed sheets.
  4. Reducing water consumption – Aware of global issues such as intensifying droughts, climate change, and the growing demand for water due to the increasing world population, we have implemented measures such as using a dishwasher and running it only when fully loaded, as well as regularly checking the technical condition of faucets in our office – all with the goal of minimising the use of this precious resource.
  5. Responsible use of electrical and electronic devices, energy saving – TSC employees are conscious of the need to use electricity wisely, especially in light of the ongoing energy crisis in Europe. We make every effort to reduce energy consumption to the necessary minimum. Common habits include switching off monitors after work, unplugging chargers once laptops or phones are fully charged, turning off lights when leaving the workspace, and using air conditioning only when absolutely necessary.
  6. Increasing the presence of plants in the office – Recognising that plants not only beautify the workspace but also purify the air and participate in photosynthesis, we have introduced a variety of potted plants throughout the office. Research shows that indoor plants positively impact employee well-being and productivity while maintaining air humidity at an optimal level of 30–60% for humans.
  7. Awareness-raising projects and training for employees – TSC employees regularly participate in training sessions and courses that address topics such as preventing and reducing the release of harmful substances into the environment during production, implementing pro-ecological practices, and many other environmental issues.

The environmental policy is a key element of the commitment of TSC Sp. z o.o. to sustainable development and constitutes an integral part of the Company’s strategy and everyday business operations.
