Wastepaper repulping
Agents facilitating the repulping of wastepaper/papers containing large amounts of wet-strength (polyamide), urea, melamine and glyoxal resins.
Wastepaper repulping is one of the stages in the process of recycling of the raw material in which collected wastepaper is fed into a pulper. In the pulper, the paper is mixed with hot water and broken down into cellulose fibres. At this stage, chemical agents facilitating wastepaper repulping are very often added to the wastepaper being processed, as well as compounds facilitating the process of wastepaper pulp deinking. Chemical compounds used as deinking process facilitators include sodium hydroxide, sodium silicate, hydrogen peroxide, soaps and fatty acids.
Depending on the type of wastepaper being processed and the intended final product, different types of repulping systems are used in the treatment process:
- low-consistency repulpers,
- high-consistency repulpers,
- drum repulpers.
Wastepaper repulping – auxiliary agents
The recycling processes involve papers with very diverse structures and finished product specifications. This leads to situations where wastepaper repulping is a non-uniform process – while certain types of paper are easily repulpable, others require the use of special auxiliary agents. These wastepaper repulping additives are primarily used for paper grades containing large amounts of wet-strength, urea, melamine and glyoxal resins.
Wastepaper repulping additives
As a brand specialising in paper processing, TSC meets the needs of companies involved in the recycling of paper, board and paper products. We offer our Customers a wide selection of wastepaper repulping additives, particularly for papers containing large amounts of resins. Our agents are characterised by simple dosing. They can be applied directly into the hydropulper without concerns about adverse effects.
Customers interested in our range of repulping additives are encouraged to contact us. Our Advisors will answer all your questions and assist in the optimal selection of chemicals necessary during the recycling of any type of wastepaper.

Liquid and powder polymers.
Biocides
Standard single-component biocides based on e.g. DBNPA, glutaraldehyde, isothiazoline, or BrAm (ammonium bromide).
Defoamers – Deaerators
The offer includes deaeration and defoaming agents for pulp and paper production lines as well as wastewater treatment plants.
Yankee Cylinder
The offer includes four product groups: coating agents for the cylinder, agents to assist sheet release, products that protect the surface by filling microcracks, and edge protection agents.
Dyestuffs
We offer anionic and cationic, intermediate and direct dyestuffs in liquid and powder forms.
Synthetic Wet-Strength Resins (WSR)
We offer standard cationic wet-strength resins of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation, as well as resins that provide temporary wet-strength.
Flocculants – Water Treatment
We offer anionic and cationic flocculants in powder and liquid forms for use in flotation units, dehydrators, filters, and various types of dewatering presses.
Coagulants
We offer mineral coagulants such as PAC as well as various types of synthetic coagulants.
Conditioning of Felts and Wires
Resin deposit control. Cationic passivator forming a ‘film’ on the surface of felts and wires, preventing resin and stickies from penetrating their structure. Applied via low-pressure showers.
Dispersants for Inorganic Compounds (Scale Control)
Anionic dispersing agents for vacuum pump protection, preventing scale deposits that clog the pump interior and reduce its efficiency.
Optical Brighteners
Optical brighteners used in pulp bleaching – for offset papers, whiteboards, and hygiene papers.
Wastepaper Repulping
Agents supporting the repulping of wastepaper/papers containing high levels of wet-strength resins (polyamide, urea, melamine, or glyoxal-based).
Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC)
CMC enables easy and fast improvement of paper and board strength in dry conditions.
Paper Processing and Converting
We offer high-quality agents for: lamination, initial sheet bonding to the core, tail sealing, core production, paper perfuming, and hot-melt gluing.
