In its activities, TSC Sp. z o.o. holds the issue of respecting the natural environment as one of its priorities. In order to meet the needs of the Clients, Suppliers, Employees, and the community in the place where the activity is carried out, solutions valuable for the company's stakeholders are consciously and purposefully implemented, aiming at responsible use of resources and assets of the natural environment. The company pays particular attention to sustainable development and, with a view to reducing its environmental impact, strives to conduct its business in compliance with current environmental legislation and standards, conduct its operations with due regard to their environmental impact by optimising consumables, and to apply good practice.

Our values

Economic, social, and environmental factors are important in the operation of the company. We care about the environment and proper relations with our surroundings. We implement the idea of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

TSC emphasises the environmentally responsible management of the waste paper recycling. Our aim is to achieve a closed life cycle for recovered paper through a cyclical sequence:

- production,

- use,

- recycling.

Through recycling, we give "new" life to paper recovered from the market. Implemented recycling processes allow up to 60% of recovered paper to be recycled and returned to the market as a new, eco-friendly product that can be used in many sectors of the economy (e.g. manufacture of paper, cores, etc.).

As TSC, we provide environmental education to society. Every year, we partner up with educational campaigns for children, young people, and adults. Our aim is to create good habits in everyday life, such as segregating waste, saving natural resources, or using biodegradable products.

Through closed-loop waste management and environmental education, we influence the environment in which we live.

We attach great importance to the quality of the products we make and processes we carry out, while reducing our negative impact on the environment. We are constantly looking for the most suitable products and services, paying attention to the ecological and social impact of our activities.

TSC's undertakings to minimise negative impact on the environment.

TSC's activities are carried out in accordance with the applicable environmental laws and regulations. We operate on the basis of a permit for the collection and transport of non-hazardous waste. Since 2015, our company has been subject to regular external audits and inspections carried out by the local authority, the results of which confirm the reliability of our environmental documentation.

The department endeavours to ensure that the materials it uses in the production of paper products are made from environmentally friendly materials wherever possible and are fully recycled after use.

The chemicals offered by the TSC Chemicals Department meet the highest quality standards and norms of the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union. Many of them have certificates such as ISEGA, Blue Angel, Eco Label, Nordic Swan and comply with FDA, BfR standards. All products have a safety data sheet in accordance with REACH regulations and are labelled in accordance with the CLP regulation. The production is carried out in accordance with ISO standards.

The main product handled by our Recycling Department is waste paper. By processing used paper and cardboard, we obtain the raw material for a wide variety of new paper products.

At the Brodnica plant, where recovered paper is collected and transported, we continuously monitor and maintain the machinery and equipment. In this way, we eliminate the risk of environmental accidents. The Recovery Organisation we work with also carries out an environmental audit at the sorting plant, verifying documents and equipment service protocols with regard to environmental use.

Everyday ecology

TSC always remembers the importance of acting for the benefit of ecology and minimising the harmful impact on the environment. Therefore, the solutions have been applied in our offices:

1. Waste segregation and recycling – We have marked bins for various types of municipal waste (paper, plastic, glass, mixed waste) and hazardous waste (batteries and accumulators). Each of our employees actively participates in waste segregation, being aware of the importance of recycling and therefore reducing the amount of new packaging from primary raw materials.
3. Reducing the use of plastic packaging – By using a POU water dispenser, as a company we are trying to reduce the amount of plastic bottles in circulation. This system provides clean drinking water: hot, cold, and even carbonated.
4. Saving paper – As a leader in the paper industry in Poland, we know how important it is to use this material responsibly. Therefore, our employees contribute to the reduction of paper consumption by small but not insignificant acts, such as printing on both sides, using electronic document storage software, printing documents only when it is really necessary, reusing sheets that have only been printed on one side.
5. Reducing water consumption – Bearing in mind global problems such as increasing droughts, global warming, and the problem of supplying water to a rapidly growing world population, we take measures such as: using a dishwasher, turning it on only when it is full, and keeping the condition of the taps in our office under control, all in order to minimise the consumption of a precious resource that is water.
6. Responsible use of electrical and electronic equipment, energy conservation – TSC employees, aware of the need for prudent use of electricity, especially in view of the energy crisis that Europe is currently facing, make every effort to limit electricity consumption to the necessary minimum. We cultivate habits such as switching the monitor off after work and unplugging the charger of e.g. a laptop or phone when the device is fully charged. We also save energy by always switching off the lights when leaving the workplace and using air conditioning only when necessary.
7. Increasing exposure to plants in the office – Since plants are not only making the space visually more attractive, but more importantly they are involved in the processes of air purification and photosynthesis, we decided to place various types of potted plants in our office. Studies have shown that potted flowers have a positive effect on the wellbeing and productivity of employees, and they also maintain air humidity at 30-60%, which is optimal for humans.
8. Projects and awareness-raising training for employees – TSC employees take part in numerous training activities and courses which address issues such as: preventing and limiting the release of harmful substances into the environment in the production process, implementation of pro-environmental activities, and many others related to environmental topics.
